Late November ushers in the U.S. holiday season and brings the week-long Miami International Book Fair where every year authors from all corners of the world pour into South Florida to present their new books and greet fans.
Last Saturday, authors Garth Stein and Peter Heller were featured in one of the book fair’s culminating author panels, along with Ron Rush and Wiley Cash:
Garth Stein is the author of the New York Times bestselling novel The Art of Racing in the Rain. His latest novel, A Sudden Light is equal parts a multi-generational family saga concerning timber barons in the Pacific NW, a coming-of-age tale, and a ghost story all wrapped into one. Peter Heller is the best-selling author of The Dog Stars. He holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop in both fiction and poetry and he’s an award-winning adventure writer and a longtime contributor to NPR. His most recent book, The Painter, is the story of a tormented artist determined to overcome his dark past and create a meaningful life, and was recently chosen as one of Amazon’s top books of 2014.
In 2015, both Stein and Heller will be making appearances across the country while promoting their new books. To invite either author to visit your venue, contact Books in Common.
