Ellen Urbani is the author of the memoir, WHEN I WAS ELENA, and released her newest book, LANDFALL, a work of modern historical fiction, in 2015.  LANDFALL, set in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, captures the stories of two teenage girls who have never met but share a name, birth year, and a pair of bloody sneakers.  After a tragic car accident, Rose embarks on a journey to retrace Rosebud’s last steps, learning along the way what matters most.

The Eugene Public Library hosts authors throughout the year and Books In Common is excited to work with them to bring Ellen to town.  This is a free event that will be held at the Downtown Eugene Public Library, at the corner of West 10th Avenue and Charnelton Street. The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will include a talk and reading from Ellen as well as books for purchase and signing.  Check out the library’s website for more upcoming author events.
