Heather is a reporter based in Boulder, Colorado and has had her work published in many national publications.  For her book, PROPHETS AND MOGULS, RANGERS AND ROGUES, BISON AND BEARS, Heather traveled across the Unites States, visiting America’s most beautiful parks.  Through extensive research, interviews with Park Rangers and her own experiences, she produces a fascinating read about our National Parks and their history.

The Colorado Authors’ League was established in 1931 and is comprised of more than 250 professional writers of all kinds.  The Writing Award is judged by a panel of independent judges and presented at an annual awards banquet each May.  This year’s awards included winners in 13 different categories and was the 68th year this award had honored Colorado writers.
