Emma Donoghue, bestselling author of Room, is writing a novel for young adults centered around the Lotterys, a large family living their quirky life in an old Victorian house. Scholastic is set to publish the novel, The Lotterys Plus One, in 2017.
Room, Ms. Donoghue’s seventh novel, was an international bestseller and has earned dozens of awards in several countries, including the Hughes & Hughes Irish Novel of the Year, shortlist on the Man Booker Prize, and was named one of the six top fiction novels of 2010 by the New York Times.
