Emma Donoghue

After being sacked as a chambermaid, Emma Donoghue made writing her career and has never held an “honest job” since. She was born in Dublin, Ireland, and earned her PhD at the University of Cambridge. Never an easy writer to pigeonhole, Emma’s work spans drama, fiction, historical fiction, Young Adult, radio plays, and screen plays. Her works of fiction include the international bestseller ROOM, Stir-Fry, Hood, Kissing the Witch, and Frog Music. Emma currently lives in Ontario with her family.
