Kelsey Timmerman Receives Emerging Author Award for Indiana

Last week, author Kelsey Timmerman was named 2014’s Emerging Author by Indiana Author Awards, a program honoring leading authors who come from Indiana or who have made Indiana their home.

Timmerman is the author of two recent books, Where Am I Wearing: A Global Tour to the Countries, Factories, and People That Make Our Clothes (2012), and Where Am I Eating: An Adventure Through the Global Food Economy (2013). Throughout his writing, Timmerman challenges North American readers to take a deep look at the human and environmental costs carried by systems underlying their daily lives.

Timmerman’s books have been selected for more than twenty campus and community reads programs across the United States. He is a dynamic and popular speaker, who seeks to strengthen communities and connect people through stories.
