A Glimpse Into the Life of Younger Author Pamela Redmond Satran

Pamela Redmond Satran is an author, columnist, baby name website co-creator, mother of three, and perpetual wearer of many hats. Her career as a writer and businesswoman is full of humorous novels and satirical pieces on aging and relationships incorporating not a few bits of her own life story. Such works have appeared in her column, “The ‘A’ Word”, in the Observer, and in publications such as The Daily Beast and Huffington Post.

Ms. Satran’s website, nameberry.com, generates over 3 million unique visitors per month and nearly a dozen of her 18 books are devoted to the process of baby naming. Her novels include bestsellers The Man I Should Have Married, The Possibility of You, and Younger, which has been turned into a hit TV series currently airing on TV Land.

The series is produced by Darren Star, creator of “Sex and the City”, and stars Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff. Foster is the main character, a New Jersey woman who finds herself unable to compete for a job with the younger generation, that is, until she tells a little white lie about her age. Pretending to be a 20-something, she experiences the workplace and dating from a whole new perspective.

A tireless writer, Ms. Satran is working on another novel from her home in Los Angeles. To learn more about her schedule or to invite her to speak at your next event, contact Books In Common.
