Welcome Anton DiSclafani, author of The Yonahlossee Riding Camp for Girls. Originally from northern Flordia, where she rode horses and competed nationally, Anton graduated from Emory University and received her MFA from Washington University. Anton’s debut novel, whose young protagonist is banished to a horse camp high in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the midst of the Great Depression, grapples with the sometimes bumpy ride to adulthood. Kirkus Reviews calls Anton’s writing “elegant prose that evokes the cadences of a vanished epoch and unfolds at a leisurely pace… an unusually accomplished and nuanced coming-of-age drama.”
Anton is a charming speaker, so if you’re interested in hosting her for a speaking engagement, be sure to let us know!
