Room, written by Emma Donoghue

Emma Donoghue’s novel, Room, is scheduled to begin filming the movie adaption starring Brie Larson and directed by Lenny Abrahamson this fall. Room, is from the perspective of a
five-year-old boy held captive in a single small room along with his mother, played by Brie Larson. The story explains the boys realization that his mother is the victim of a kidnapping when she was a teenager. Emma Donoghue will be writing the screen adaptation, of Room, as well.

Movies ultimately increase the popularity of already popular books. Once a book is released into a movie a whole new audience is introduced to the story which increases the people interested in hearing the author. If you would like to host Emma Donoghue to discuss either, Room or Frog Music, her latest novel, Books in Common can set up your author event, CONTACT us today.
