Christina Baker Kline’s Orphan Train Packs in Crowds at Folsom

NYT bestseller Christina Baker Kline and librarian Regina Maduell

NYT bestseller Christina Baker Kline (l) and librarian Regina Maduell.

Serendipity met good planning this February, when Christina Baker Kline visited the Folsom Public Library to speak about her New York Times bestselling novel, Orphan Train.

More than a hundred attendees crowded into the library, which had chosen Orphan Train for its book clubs that very month. During her speaking engagement, Christina Baker Kline shared how the experiences of Catholic orphans shipped to the Midwest for adoption inspired her popular story of upheaval and triumph over adversity. Attendees were delighted with Christina’s warm, engaging talk and are eagerly awaiting her next book!
