We are thrilled to announce the Cedar Rapids public library is hosting their summer event Out Loud! The Metro Library Network Author Series for 2016. Every summer, they host this series and bring in bestselling authors. This year will be hosted at the Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids on Fridays, starting at 7 p.m. on June 24.
Sara Gruen’s a bestselling fiction author, well-known for the novel WATER FOR ELEPHANTS. She’ll be starting off the three-week event.
The following week on Friday, July 1, at 7 p.m., Matt de la Peña will be at the library sharing about his New York Bestselling, Newbery Medal winning young adult novels, including THE LIVING.
To close out the series the Metro Library Network is bringing in Jenny Lawson, known for her sardonic wit, her blog (thebloggess.com) and her memoir, LET’S PRETEND THIS NEVER HAPPENED. She’ll be speaking on Friday, July 8, at 7 p.m.
Books In Common scheduled all three dynamic authors for this summer’s Out Loud! author series. This is our first year working with The Metro Library Network, and we’re excited about our new relationship.
