Bee Ridgway’s ‘The River of No Return’ Deals With Inequality

The River of No Return, by Bee Ridgeway

One exciting question raised by Bee Ridgway’s time-traveling novel is “how would a 19th-century British aristocrat adjust to living in 21st-century America?” Bee’s protagonist, Nick, encounters radical changes to the systems of inequality he grew up in.

Rather than oversimplify, Bee Ridgway explores the paradoxes, conflicts, and limits imposed by social settings, individual’s needs and flaws, and the difficulty of changing opinions. Her Guild requires people from different cultures, locales, times, and moral systems to work together—a challenge for modern people even without time-travel!

The River of No Return will be released in April, 2013.
