Vanessa Diffenbaugh, author of The Language of Flowers gives a drop-in reading at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library.

The Arlington Heights Memorial Library hosted Vanessa Diffenbaugh, author of The Language of Flowers, for a memorable series of speaking engagements.

Christina Stoll, the organizer, says: “All of the events were wonderful. We received such positive feedback from our [patrons] at each of the activities.  The dinner was probably my favorite part, for Vanessa was so kind with her time to each of the attendees, and that hour with her was so meaningful to them.

“The main event in the evening was the ideal type of author program we are looking to host.  We had almost a full theater and everyone walked away in love with the author even more.  The conversational interview, then Q&A style was perfect. Again, Vanessa was so gracious with her time in answering everyone’s questions and letting them into her life as an author, which is what our evaluation comments said over and over that attendees really appreciated.  Also, afterwards during the book signing she took time with each and every person who came up to her.  We could not have asked for a kinder, more easy going author to work with.”
