Sonia Nazario Speaks on Capitol Hill

Sonia  Nazario, author of Enrique’s Journey, spoke on Capitol Hill about the situation children face in countries such as Honduras. She describes what she witnessed and learned from the people living in this dangerous country and urges the US government to change the processing of these children from illegal immigrants to refugees. “Refugees flee their countries because they face persecution and death and can’t return to their government to protect them,” says Sonia.
