Lopez Island Library Welcomes Karen Joy Fowler, author of We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves

Karen Joy Fowler at the Lopez Island Library

NYT bestselling author Karen Joy Fowler chats with a library attendee.

The Lopez Island Library caught a rare opportunity to host New York Times bestselling author Karen Joy Fowler earlier this month.  When Books in Common discovered that Karen Joy Fowler, author of We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves, planned to visit the Seattle-Puget Sound area and had an extra day to fill, we informed the Lopez Island Library at once and were able to arrange for Karen to attend a speaking engagement in the beautiful, off-the-beaten path San Juan Islands. Both Karen and the library’s patrons enjoyed a fun, cozy chat and reading.

Books in Common aims to help authors and venues enjoy the best speaking events possible. By coordinating trips and adding fill-ins at local venues, we can arrange events that are both convenient and cost-effective for everyone.  Want us to keep you informed of fill-in opportunities in your area? Let us know here.
