Lisa Genova’s Still Alice was a new York Times bestseller and has been translated in 25 languages. As such, it is no surprise to see Hollywood planning a film adaptation – to begin production next month. Julianne Moore will star as Alice, a middle aged woman battling the early stages of Alzheimer’s. Just this week it was announced that Kristen Stewart has signed on to play opposite Moore, as her daughter. This will be the second film that Moore and Stewart have worked on together.
