Garth Stein at Hastings Reads
This March, Garth Stein visited Hastings, Minnesota for this year’s Hastings Read, where his New York Times bestselling novel The Art of Racing in the Rain (and YA edition Racing in the Rain: My Life as a Dog) was the subject of this year’s community reading project.
After meeting with almost six hundred students and teachers at a local high school, Garth shared lunch with middle school writing and honor students. He also attended a speaking engagement with the public later that evening. His Q&A sessions were a fan favorite, as usual, as Garth gave elaborate and entertaining answers.
