Emma Donoghue recently discussed her latest novel, Frog Music, with a Melbourne, Australian radio station. She explains , Frog Music, is a “very sticky book, and you need a shower afterward.” Frog Music, is a historically-based story about a frog catcher who was shot through her window in 1876 San Francisco. The main character Jenny Bonnet, “was just born to be in a novel,” Emma Donoghue said because of her dynamic personality and eccentric ways. While discussing the unique aspects of the book she explains that, Frog Music, is purposely formatted to feel confusing and keep the reader guessing.
