This January, Pulitzer-winning author Jane Smiley will receive a Lifetime Achievement award from the Arts Council for Monterey Council at its annual Champions of the Arts Gala. The Arts Council supports community improvement through the arts, and its awards recognize champions whose examples, vision, and passions enrich the community.
