Jan-Philipp Sendker

German born Jan-Phillipp Sendker served as the American correspondent for Stern until he turned to writing books. His first novel, The Art of Hearing Heartbeats, follows the daughter of a missing New York Lawyer as she searches for clues in his past. He has also published a nonfiction book about China, entitled Cracks in the Great Wall. Today, Sendker resides with his family in Berlin.
