Sonia Nazario

Pulitzer winner Sonia Nazario has reported on social issues for the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, and other publications. Her book Enrique’s Journey, is a thought-provoking read that explores Hispanic immigration to the US for work, the disruptions it creates among families, and the difficulties such immigrants encounter on their travels. Nazario serves on the advisory boards of Kids in Need of Defense, Catch the Next, and University of North Texas Mayborn Literary non-fiction Writer’s Conference. Among her many awards and degrees, she earned a masters degree from the University of California-Berkeley and received an honorary doctorate from Mount St. Mary’s College in 2010.
