Stephanie Booth
Being a writer is a great thing for a chronically nosy (but inherently shy) person. I’d much rather listen to other people than talk about myself.I have an M.A. in English from the University of New Mexico and M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Emerson College. Along with freelance writing, I’ve been a content writer for digital health startups, contributing editor at the long-gone but still-missed Teen People, an advice columnist for Teen (best gig ever), and helped with casting MTV’s award-winning documentary series,”True Life.”
For fun, I’ve also served as a fiction reader for Puerto del Sol, an editorial assistant for Ploughshares, and read fiction and non-fiction submissions for Tin House.
Home is Portland, Ore., where I live with my family. That includes a small dog with a big personality, two cats, and a huggable pony.
