Naomi Benaron

Naomi Benaron is a writer, poet, marathon runner, and teacher. After several years as a seismologist and geophysicist, she turned to writing and now teaches through the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program and the Afghan Women’s Writing Project. Benaron funneled her love for marathon running and experience as an Ironman triathlete into her latest novel, Running the Rift, which won the Bellwether Prize for Fiction.
