"Daniel Bergner's book Sing for your Life, was chosen as the Community Reads 2016 pick by the the National Writers Series. Bergner's event was the icing on the cake as the culminating event of our 2016 season following authors Margaret Atwood and Ann Patchett. On December 5th, the City Opera House in Traverse City, Michigan, was filled with some 450 music students, educators and fans excited about Sing for your Life. Bergner inspired the audience, discussing both Ryan Speedo Green's journey and his own in writing Ryan's biography. He kept the audience entranced for a full 90 minutes. Bravo!"
