MT Anderson

M.T. Anderson spent several of his early years living in Italy, where the ruins, crumbling statues, and landscape made an indelible impression both on his mind, his creativity, and his kindergarten building block skills (which he preferred to build ruins with). A committed Anglophile, he attended a British boarding school and Cambridge University for the experience, but earned his MFA in creative writing from Syracuse University.
His books include Thirsty, The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, The Game of Sunken Places, and Feed. He has won the National Book Award and the Boston Glove/Horn Book Prize. M.T. Anderson teaches writing at Vermont College.
